The 62nd Vyas Puja ceremony of His Divine Grace Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaj was celebrated by the disciples of JPS Maharaj at Sri Sri Radha Partha Sarathi Temple, New Delhi for two consecutive days. Not only the temple devotees of Radha Parthasarathi Temple participated in great jubilation but also all the well wishers of Maharaj thronged the venue in great numbers from the morning.
After the morning Mangal Arti is over Temple President HG Mohan Rupa Prabhu announced to all about Vyas Puja celebration of HH Jayapataka Swami. All the devotees rejoiced with Hari Bol! Hari Bol!
After the Guru Puja of Srila Prabhupada is over, DVD recording of Srimad Bhagavatam given by HH JPS Maharaj was played in a big screen at the temple central hall. All the devotees listened with rapt attention in a pin drop silence. While the Vyas Puja ceremony started at the main auditorium from 9.30 am wards. His Grace Deenanayak Prabhu led the Kirtan with his team.
After the kirtan is over the Zee news story about Guru Maharaj was played for 23 minutes. There is a wonderful description of about the activities of JPS Maharaj and Mayapur Dham in the Zee TV News report. The news piece really inspired all. The Zee TV news is available in You Tube also.
Then the glorification of Guru Maharaj by Sanyasis, Srila Prabhupada’s disciples and senior devotees commenced from 10.20 am onwards. Everyone was very enthusiastic to glorify JPS Maharaj even for few minutes. Finally the glorification ended at 1.30 pm. It is be noted that those devotees that could not get the chance to glorify Maharaj would be able to glorify Maharaj in the next JSSS meeting to be held in New Delhi on 1st May. It was announced by Benu Krishna Das the senior devotee of JPS Maharaj.
HG Rishi Kumar Prabhu first addressed the gathering of the devotees. Later on Benu Krishna Prabhu helped him. It was HG Jitamitra Prabhu who first threw light on Guru Maharaj’s life and activities. He threw considerable light on Guru Maharaj’s biography in a lucid manner. He also elaborated on the significance of Vyas Puja and how to satisfy one’s Guru on that day.
Next Bhakti Dhir Damodar Maharaj glorified Guru Maharaj highly. He first narrated when he first met JPS Maharaj and how he was inspired by his magnetic personality. “JPS Maharaj is good from the core of his heart. He never discriminates between his disciples and other Guru’s disciples while bestowing benediction through his mind and body. This is the greatest quality about him. He is very impartial while giving blessings and this is the hallmark of a true Sanyasi that he is really. He is also a great leader. He loves all people as his children. He is a great Acharya and an ideal preacher by character.”
Then HG Mohan Rupa Prabhu the Temple President of Radha Partha Sarathi glorified. “In a very young age JPS Maharaj went to Mayapur. At that time Mayapur was very backward. Nobody knew what ISKCON means. People were hostile at that time, there was language problem but he overcame them all with élan. Again there was not light, no communication but JPS Maharaj developed it as a great Dham. Srila Prabhpad had given him special power. It’s really surprising to see him preaching despite of his ill health. Recently he led 200 Safari devotees in Delhi and other North Indian Holy places. Maharaj has a childlike innocence. He has great sense of humour.” He also mentioned some of the pleasant personal experiences with Maharaj.
HG Vrajendrnanadan Prabhu, Vice President of the Delhi Temple said, “You are lucky to get such spiritual master .In spite of his illness there is no stopping in his preaching. Recently when I took the Zee TV news team to interview him they were surprised at this spirit and enthusiasm.”
HG Dinanayak Prabhu said, “Guru Maharaj has taken the bad Karma of his disciples that’s why he is suffering. Now it is your responsibility to follow properly all the regulative principles and chanting properly.”
HG MuraliMurariPrabhu/HG.Siromani Nitai Prabhu, HG Radha Charan Prabhu, Teertheshwari Mataj and several other senior devotees offered their glorification to Guru Maharaj while describing their personal experiences with JPS Maharaj.
By the times all the Matajai got ready more than 100 bhoga for Maharaj at the temple kitchen. Several devotees had brought bhoga for Maharaj to offer while cook`ing in their home. A big cake was also offered to Maharaj.
Once the offering was over HG Jitamitra Prabhu chanted Puspanjali Mantra & All the devotees offered Puspanjali. Arati kirtan was led by his Holiness Bhakti Dhir Damodar Maharaj. The kirtan was really mindboggling. The whole auditorium reverberated with Holi name. Everyone dance in that ecstatic Kirtan & prayed Guru Maharaj for blessings at the end. After the Arti & Kirtan sumptuous Ekadasi Prasadam was served to all the devotees at the Temple Prasadam hall.
Next day a big beast was thrown by all the disciples of JPS Maharaj at the Temple Prasadam Hall. More than 10 items were in the platter. All the devotees took the Prasadam while chanting Hare Krishna Mahmantra and JPS Maharaj ki Jai.
